Hispanic Heritage Month is a significant month where we come together to celebrate, honor, and embrace the diverse and enduring legacy of Hispanic and Latino communities. To join in on the celebration, we are casting a light on a driven entrepreneur, Jennifer Cabrera, the Owner & Founder of Pops of Magic, based in the San Fernando Valley, CA.

On August 8th 2023, we celebrated our startup, The Event Community’s 3rd Birthday, and it was more than just a party! The event hit full capacity and brought together 120 guests from the event industry, creating an incredible gathering of event professionals who have journeyed with us. Most importantly, our 3rd Birthday vividly demonstrated the strength of our loyal community and the undeniable demand for a Modern Event Marketplace App like ours.

August is celebrated as National Black Business Month!  Black Business Month is a reminder to celebrate the innovation, resilience, and remarkable contributions of Black entrepreneurs and businesses, all while empowering equality and diversity!  We're all about embracing the entrepreneurial spirit, so we're shining a spotlight on an amazing businesswoman, Brianna Palacio-Weidner, the Event Stylist of What will it Bri LLC , based in Temple City, CA. 

As we celebrate the vibrant cultures and contributions of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community, we are delighted to shine a spotlight on two incredible individuals: Jezyrose and Darryl Boediarto, Owners & Principal Planners of Layunin Events based in Southern CA (Orange County/Los Angeles County).

Each year, The Event Community hosts its Annual Virtual Award Show to celebrate our milestones and to recognize outstanding vendors and event services in Southern CA. This year’s award show was a success, resulting in over 230+ nominations and 5,506 votes for the following categories:

Meeting face-to-face with people in the community has shown us how important it is for The Event Community to exist as a supportive space for all event creatives and businesses alike, because navigating a personal and professional life in the event industry can be difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone.

We had so much fun creating some custom goodies with our community partners in anticipation of our website launch. Each of our partners have unique products and services for parties and events, and we wanted to exemplify that in our gift boxes that we sent out to some of our community members.
